Issue 40
Diversity and Inclusivity – Festivals and More
This issue continues the themes from Issue 39 on equity, diversity and inclusion. Today we need to re-imagine our work with children, with others, society and within ourselves, and the articles inspire us to investigate, reflect and change. Renewing our relationships to festivals, stories and celebrations with this in mind is an important step.
The many different festivals and celebrations reflected in this issue give us ideas and food for thought. The Advent/Winter adaptable ring-time connects to the theme, and a new look at celebrating birthdays and baby doll naming ceremonies are fascinating. The mice themed crafts, stories, poems and puppet plays are lovely.
We remembered Freya Jaffke who has enriched our work and play in early childhood.
