Issue 32
Special Needs
What are the special needs of the child? Are some more specific, and do they need special attention? Are they disabling for the child or the group and can we spin this around to become enabling for all? In this issue we address issues around behaviour, movement, sensory integration, listening and speaking and more.
We learn how to observe the child deeply, contemplating, often with colleagues and parents, on how best to help them integrate. We look at our own behaviours, our judgments, and labels. We are given new tools and insights.
The crafts and songs are around Lanterns and making paper boats.
We remember Erika Grantham, a UK pioneer and teacher trainer.
