School Readiness

The older child and readiness for school (we would not say that nowadays, expecting school to be ready for children) is covered in articles on the transformation of play, memory, introduction to literacy, a school doctors perspective, partnering with parents in making decisions about readiness for school, and more…working with 6 year olds in mixed aged kindergarten and valuing work as a pathway to literacy are all addressed.

Transition group ringtimes, games and songs and crafts such as papercraft, treasure hunts and activities for the older child is also included.
