The Mantle

This issue includes articles on the bodily care of the young child, including practical ideas for dressing, foot-washing, touch warmth, colour, and sleep. ‘The breath’ shows how a healthy rhythm affects the body in so many ways. Not just outer care of the body, but the inner care for which we provide the right environmentAs Henning Kohler says ‘…Your job is literally to entice the child’s inner warmth forces right out to his skin, into his fingertips.’ It is our consciousness, preparation, study and inner work, which provides the mantle which protects the young child.

Stories songs and crafts include The Little Straw Broom, working with the winter and new year, making gnomes and the story and puppet play of Nkosnati and the Dragon.
